The TIMCO Self-Drilling Wing-Tip Steel to Timber Light Section Silver Screws are specifically designed to attach wood to light section steel (maximum 5mm thickness). These innovative screws feature a coarse self-tapping thread with wings that ream out the timber, allowing maximum RPM without burning out. When the wings contact the metal, they break off to permit the thread to self-tap into the metal. The zinc finish provides corrosion resistance, making them ideal for construction and roofing applications. The screws are partially threaded and made from case and core hardened carbon steel for superior strength and durability.
