The TIMCO Self-Drilling Wing-Tip Steel to Timber Light Section A2 Stainless Steel Bi-Metal Screws are specifically designed to attach wood to light section steel (maximum 5mm thickness). These innovative screws feature a coarse self-tapping thread with wings that ream out the timber, allowing maximum RPM without burning out. When the wings contact the metal they break off to permit the thread to self-tap into the steel. The hardened carbon steel drill tip is fused onto an A2-304 austenitic stainless steel body for superior performance and corrosion resistance.
