The TIMCO Self-Drilling Wing-Tip Steel to Timber Light Section A2 Stainless Steel Bi-Metal Screws are specifically designed to attach wood to light section steel (maximum 5mm thickness). These innovative screws feature a coarse self-tapping thread with wings that ream out the timber, allowing the screw to achieve maximum RPM without burning out. When the wings contact the metal they break off cleanly to permit the thread to self-tap into the metal surface. The hardened carbon steel drill tip is fused onto an A2-304 Austenitic Stainless Steel body, providing excellent durability and corrosion resistance for exterior applications.
