The TIMCO Self-Drilling Wing-Tip Steel to Timber Light Section A2 Stainless Steel Bi-Metal Screws are specifically designed to attach wood to light section steel (maximum 4mm thickness). These innovative screws feature a coarse self-tapping thread with wings that ream out the timber, allowing maximum RPM without burning out. When the wings contact the metal they break off cleanly to permit the thread to self-tap into the metal. The hardened carbon steel drill tip is fused onto an A2-304 austenitic stainless steel body, providing excellent corrosion resistance and durability for exterior applications.
