The TIMCO Self-Drilling Wing-Tip Steel to Timber Heavy Section A2 Stainless Steel Bi-Metal Screws are specifically designed to attach wood to metal (maximum 12mm thickness). These innovative screws feature a metric thread with wings designed to ream out the timber, allowing the screw to achieve maximum RPM without burning out. When the wings hit the metal they break off to permit the thread to self-tap into the metal. The hardened carbon steel drill tip is fused onto an A2-304 Austenitic Stainless Steel body, providing excellent durability and corrosion resistance for exterior applications.
