The CARLISLE BRASS® Victorian Lever on Privacy Backplate is a traditional Victorian-styled handle mounted on a plain rectangular backplate. It features a heavy pattern design that ensures durability, making it suitable for busy settings like offices or restaurants. The straight-shaped lever curves at the end for ergonomic use. Privacy furniture with this handle distinguishes itself from bathroom furniture by using a cam mechanism within the handle assembly to lock the handle dead, unlike bathroom locks which engage the deadbolt. This component requires a separate mortice tubular latch rather than a bathroom lock. Included is a 10-year mechanical guarantee, and it is also fire door rated.
