The CARLISLE BRASS® white fire door seals are designed to close the gap between the fire door and frame in the event of a fire, effectively preventing the spread of smoke and hot gases. Once installed, these seals can lie dormant for many years, only activating when exposed to rising temperatures and pressures during a fire situation. Firestop’s high-performance intumescent core contains intercalated graphite, which expands multi-directionally up to 10-15 times its original size in the event of a fire, sealing the gap and holding the fire door in place. These seals are Certifire approved and fire door rated, ensuring high standards of safety. They come with a 10-year mechanical guarantee and are suitable for all domestic, commercial, and industrial applications.
