The CARLISLE BRASS® cb260 fire door seal strips are designed to close the gap between the fire door and frame in the event of a fire, thereby preventing the spread of smoke and hot gases. Once installed, the seals can remain dormant for many years, only activating when exposed to rising temperatures and pressures during a fire situation. Firestop’s high-performance intumescent core contains intercalated graphite, which expands multi-directionally up to 10-15 times its original size in the event of a fire, sealing the gap and holding the fire door in place. This pack contains five 1.05-meter-long smoke single strips, each measuring 1050 x 10 x 4 mm, in a brown finish.
