It features sharp spurs at the tip that guide the bit into the wood, ensuring a smooth and uniform hole throughout. Manufactured with high grade carbon steel and a centered point with screw, it requires less downward pressure to bite into the work piece. The wide deep flighting of these bits allows efficient removal of wood shavings and prevents the hole from becoming clogged.
